The mangrove is an ecosystem specific to tropical coastlines. The Sine Saloum is a delta refuge for thousands of birds, among other species. Inland, desertification is gradually gaining ground due to deforestation and longer dry seasons. It is therefore essential to train future generations to take care of their environment and show them the economic alternatives that exist. The students of the schools where the training takes place are the first beneficiaries, but also their families who benefit from the plants, and the local relays who are trained and paid to ensure the animation and monitoring of the plantations.
