The objective is to diversify the food and agricultural production of the beneficiaries in order to generate sustainable income for the families and limit their migration to the sugar cane industry. This also makes it possible to strengthen the feeling of belonging to the land, while raising awareness among the indigenous populations of environmental issues, in particular by limiting the pressure on forest resources. More than 20 villages in the Tapi district are involved in the project. Between 5 and 20 trees are given to each family.
