HAÏTI – Projet Passe Reine

Terre des jeunes has been planting a wide variety of trees in this area since 1999 to educate children about environmental protection. We plant trees all summer in order to take precautions against deforestation and limit any social and economic destabilization that may be caused by natural disasters. The inhabitants of the area organize the sale of forest products and part of the profits are deposited in a cooperative bank, Ti Pa, where all members can take out loans at a low rate.
