Benin

The project takes place in the villages bordering the Pendjari Biosphere Reserve. Cash and food crops are depleting less and less productive soils. In addition, wildlife and forest resources on the outskirts of Pendjari are subject to overexploitation and ecosystems are deteriorating. In this context, the planting of fast-growing trees mixed with fruit trees will make it possible to reconstitute the ligneous resource and bring organic matter to the soil, but also to fight against desertification in this zone bordering the Sahel.
